Luxembourg may be tiny, but it has already done something HC cares deeply about: tied honey to place, beekeeper and batch. The national Lëtzebuerger Hunneg system divides qualifying honey into spring, summer and organic categories, and every jar identifies its beekeeper and production batch. Controlled crystallization gives much of the honey a deliberately smooth, spreadable texture. Luxembourg also has an EU-protected national honey designation covering the entire Grand Duchy, built around mixed flora including clover, fruit blossom, broom, dandelion and meadowsweet. Individual producers then add finer geography. Victor Jungels keeps more than 200 colonies across locations around Brandenbourg and the northern nature-park landscape, while Honapi harvests honey beside the Moselle vineyards in Remich. This is almost an ideal Atlas model: national identity at the top, individual beekeeper and harvest location underneath.
