Thailand

Taking shape TH / THA Asia

Thailand's honey landscape combines a major northern longan-honey economy with one of Southeast Asia's richest stingless-bee systems. Scientific longan-honey samples span Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Lamphun and Nan, while commercial meliponiculture uses several native stingless-bee species. Kasetsart University reports at least 33 stingless-bee species in Thailand and at least six commonly managed commercially. The result is a country where both flower and Bee can define the Honey.
