Taking shape QA / QAT Asia

Qatar has built a small but increasingly organized desert beekeeping sector around government-supported farms. Sidr is the dominant local honey, with Samur and spring honey harvested in separate flowering seasons. In January 2025, an Umm Salal honey exhibition brought together 20 local farms and more than a tonne of honey products, while the Ministry of Municipality continued to provide hives, equipment, summer cooling systems, training and marketing support. Because the country's farm network is distributed and the available evidence is mostly national rather than terroir-specific, this seed creates no Honey Region yet.
