Country
Pakistan
Pakistan supports one of South Asia's most varied honey systems, with managed Apis mellifera and Apis cerana alongside wild Apis dorsata and Apis florea. Ber/Sidr honey from the dry northwest is the country's strongest distinctive commercial identity, especially around Karak and neighboring dryland districts, while migratory beekeeping follows mustard, acacia, citrus, clover and other flowering resources. Pakistan's Honeybee Research Institute remains the federal technical center for beekeeping, queen breeding, honey analysis and migratory support.
