Nepal's honey story ranges from managed Apis cerana and Apis mellifera beekeeping to famous cliff-honey traditions built around wild Apis laboriosa. Government-derived figures summarized in a 2025 policy review show honey production reaching 4,308 tonnes in 2022/23, with a national target of 6,600 tonnes by 2028/29. Pyuthan's Chiuri honey and the Lamjung–Kaski cliff-honey landscape provide especially strong place-and-Bee relationships.
