Country
Mongolia
Mongolia's modern beekeeping sector is relatively young and uses introduced Apis mellifera rather than a native honey-bee species. Its clearest Honey Chronicles landscape is Selenge Province, where forest-steppe wildflower honey from Bayangol, Shaamar and Sukhbaatar districts has been organized through cooperatives and marketed under the Mountain Partnership Products initiative. Mongolia's short summer and severe winter make seasonality and overwintering part of the honey story.
