Jordan's honey identity is shaped by flowering diversity, a strong local beekeeper culture and the native Syrian honey bee Apis mellifera syriaca. Department of Statistics reporting cited 418 tonnes of honey in 2024, up from 325 tonnes in 2023, while government policy in 2025 focused on raising domestic self-sufficiency. Northern apiaries around Irbid, highland areas such as Ajloun, and the Jordan Valley all matter, but this pass keeps them as production or Bee-conservation geography rather than inventing protected Honey Regions.
