India
India's honey map spans migratory commercial Apis mellifera beekeeping, native Apis cerana systems, wild honey bees, stingless bees and a growing protected-origin map. Government reporting put natural honey production at about 140,000 metric tonnes in 2024 and exports at about 107,000 tonnes in FY 2023–24. Three especially strong Atlas anchors are Ramban Sulai Honey in Jammu and Kashmir, Sundarban Honey in West Bengal and Marthandam Honey in Tamil Nadu, all registered in India's GI system. New honey applications continue to arrive, but application status must remain distinct from registration.
