Bangladesh's clearest Honey Region is the Sundarbans, where forest honey collection is tied to mangrove ecology, traditional honey collectors and wild Apis dorsata. The Bangladesh Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks now lists Sundarbans Honey among granted GI products, giving Atlas a legally anchored honey landscape rather than merely a famous place name. Elsewhere, managed and smallholder beekeeping includes Chittagong Hill Tracts and crop-linked honeys such as black cumin, mustard, litchi, jujube and rubber. Bee provenance is especially important: modern research in Bangladesh documents Apis mellifera, Apis cerana and Apis dorsata, so a Honey record should not assume that every Bangladeshi honey was made by the same bee.
