Armenia's honey map is strongly shaped by elevation, small apiaries and the Caucasus bee story. Scientific work confirms honey production in regions including Syunik and Shirak, while PAMP/AND documents honey from Syunik alpine meadows at roughly 1,800–2,500 metres. Armenia also sits inside the wider history of Apis mellifera caucasica, but the country's bee taxonomy should not be flattened into a single national label because Caucasian, Armenian/remipes and modern managed-population terminology has been used inconsistently across sources. The commercial landscape includes both direct producers and aggregating networks such as MERSARER/Honey.am, which owns some hives but says most of its marketed honey comes from partner beekeepers.
